Can a relationship work out if one has no ual chemistry for the other?

my ex broke up with me he says he has no ual chemistry for me, yet we are totally compatible and so alike, we have a laugh talk about anything know each others secrets that no body else in the world knows we have 100% trust evan he says its perfect but hardly no , he says he has to try hard to want to have with me, i am so heartbroke, i have asked him to reconsider his actions, as i don't think i can be Friends with him because hurts to much to not be able to cuddle him tell him i love him evan though i still do and he has said he loves me still its only been 3 weeks since he left me, its just when people are older there's hardly anyway and im sure all the other things out weigh the one negative thing but how do i make him see this? i read alot online about this situation so i feel it could work, im not ugly, yes i am a big girl and this may be the reason evan though he says it isn't it has been mentioned in the past i am willing to lose the weight but then he said you could be 12 stone and i might still feel same way he says were to alike! i do not want to give up on this at all we talk still and lately he texts more ending with xxx which is what we did when together, he evan said bye bye love you on phone last night twice he said it last night. please no nasty comments just want to know if anyone had a similar relationship and can it work i think it can but i would like other peoples perspective on this. thank you
