In error I deleted a doent fm Microsoft Word. Is there some way to retrieve this doent back?

I empty the recycle bin with this doent. This was an very important doent that was mistakenly not saved. This doent was mailed out but the receiving party have not received. What can be done to retrieved? Thanks
