Is jingoism one of the biggest threats to a country?

Patriotic jingoism (not nationalism) is used to consolidate support for imperialist/zionist wars, as opposing war is 'unpatriotic' and 'un-american'. Isn't peace worth preserving or should we just follow the lead of capitalist zionists with their dominance in the MSM?
