Does boxing need Mayweather back?

We're now on the verge of the Manny vs De La Hoya fight and whilst alot of boxing fans out there are hyping this up as one of the biggest fights of all time, im alot more pessimistic, i just have a feeling manny will wear old oscar down too easily and make this one a sleeper. This got me to thinkn, other than these two guys is there anyone really left in boxing who really gets u up out of ur seat and interested in the sport anymore? i look around and only see old guys these days the likes of Jones, Hopkins, Calzaghe, De La Hoya, even big Vitali Klitscko, or else fighters who are good, but arent perfect or enjoybale to watch, like Hatton, Judah, Cotto, Williams, and Margarito. I just have a feeling Mayweathers early retirement could rly hurt boxing, i mean here was a trash talking, money making, undefeated fight machine, who, whilst he was hated by plenty, got bums on seats. Does anyone out there agree with me?
